The trilogy still isn’t bad at all at 30fps considering all the upgrades to visuals they did, especially in Mafia 1. Played thru 1&2 DE recently now playing 3 DE, on XBSS, it's very smooth locked 30fps because of the console capabilities. It also loads very quickly and has quick resume which is great.

Shame about the loss of the eye-tracking effect from the original, I never really noticed it until now, but the lack of it in the definitive edition looks really bad in comparison. It seems like there's missing environmental dialogue (ie the newspaper crier) in the definitive edition.
Yes it’s worth it! i played the original mafia 1 and also played and finished the remake yesterday and it was amazing. they did a really really good job on this remake, the story is still as good as i remember and it was cool to witness the story, the city etc again in a remake. honestly, it’s worth it. performance on PC is also good, since Mafia Definitive Edition or Original? : r/ShouldIbuythisgame. both games are at a discount right now on steam. They all 3 were great imo, back in the day Mafia was something special on pc. Got several friends to play it & they all loved it. 2 was also really great, both 1 & 2 have the best stories imo. 3 was a lot of fun to play & cars & guns were done really well, story wise it's probably the weakest of the 3, but it deserves more than most say about it.
